about

To start with, the title of this song alone is both the outcome and the aspiration of the singer .... so that's good ;-)

The intro is a tiny bit like an Elton John song, and that would make sense since I wrote it on the piano in the early 1970's. I recorded it at Knothole Studio with my co-producer, Boo English, back around 2008 and incorporated harmonies which I had not used in the previous demo versions.

David Floyd added some orchestrations which helped out too. I love the vocal 'out-tro' ......" When I think about you, I don't feel bad anymore".

lyrics

I don't feel bad anymore.

When I think about you, I still think of happy days
funny little ways that seemed a life worth living
Oh I was giving love to you,
even though I knew I wasn't getting through.
I couldn't help but wonderin' if you'd ever come back home,

when I'd think about you
but now when I think about you
I realize I could live without you
and I don't feel bad anymore.

'cause I got my pride back
and I'm not gonna look back
You won't see me there at your back door
You won't see me wearin' your foot print no more,
not like before, when I think I'd think about you.
But now when I think about you,
I've realized I could live without you
and I don't feel bad anymore.

When I talk about you, I still say that you're my friend
that you will be til the end
It's just that we don't blend
and then when I'm all by myself
and I can't think of anyone else,
that's the time your memory fades into shades of someone else.

Then I'd think about you
but now when I think about you
I realize I could live without you
and I don't feel bad anymore.

'cause I got my pride back
and I'm not gonna look back
You won't see me there at your back door
You won't see me wearin' your footprint no more
not like before

Then I'd think about you
but now when I think about you
I've realized I could live without you
and I don't feel bad anymore.

When I dream about you, I still wanna hold on tight
reach out in the night
and hold onto the past,
but now, at last I'm breaking through
and I'm breaking free of you
You can build a dream just as long as you know that's what it is.

Then I'd think about you
but now when I think about you
I realize I can live without you
and I don't feel bad anymore.
No; I don't feel bad anymore

When I think about you, I don't feel bad anymore.
When I think about you, I don't feel bad anymore.
